Handmade 5.5" Paper Dolls -- 1890s Sisters with Ten (10) Costumes

United States, 1890. Very good. Light dust soiling. Paper repair to blonde doll's raised arm.. A pair of handmade paper dolls, presumably sisters, accompanied by ten (10) costumes. One sister has auburn hair and four (4) outfits, the other has blonde hair and three (3) outfits. Cleverly, the final three (3) outfits have been designed to fit either doll. There are evening gowns, day wear, and even a swimming costume. Each paper doll measures approx. 5.5", and is hand cut with original pencil and watercolor artwork.
