An unusual take on girlhood; even with "modern" sensibilities well-advanced from the 1950s when Dare created the characters and story of Edith and her Teddy Bears, some now perhaps regard it as "edgy". A very nice copy in price-clipped pictorial dustjacket front and back that replicates the photograph on the covers of the book. With a charming bookplate for a young girl on the front pastedown.
