Pages toned with some minor finger prints within as well as pencil to the first page marking the main characters, private detective Doan and his companion Carstairs (a Great Dane) as Pudgy and Joanne. A Very Good copy.

A scarce copy of Davis' first of three novels. Each novel centered around a mystery Doan and Carstairs would investigate, filled with murder, mayhem, and humor.
