Boards dust soiled and toned with minor bowing to both. All edges stained blue. Pages toned and foxed throughout, as expected. Front paste down has inked numbers and letters while back pastedown has minor loss at bottom and is lifting at bottom corner. A Very Good or better copy overall.

An account of the Duke of Savoy Vittorio Amedeo's secret negotiations at the beginning of the War of the Spanish Succession. He tried to negotiate with Austria but eventually switched sides in the conflict to join Great Britain and the Dutch Republic against France, seeking the Duchy of Milan.
