This set includes Vol. V, Nos. 11-2 (Nov.-Dec. 1901) of the original series, and Vol. I, Nos. 1-6 (Jan.-Jun 1902) of the "New Series". First issued in 1896. The present seven (7) issues include articles on conservation, taxidermy, and feature articles on ornithologists and bird species ranging from the California Jay to the Northern Parula Warbler. Each issue measures approx. 10.5" by 7", is approx. 20 pp. illus., and is stapled in the original illustrated wrps with image of water fowl and title of the serial in stylized typography.
