New China & the church A. D. 1912 [cover title]

[New York: The Board of Missions, 1912. Second edition, 6¾" x 4¾", pp. 24; six full-page text illustrations after photographs; printed self-wrappers; upper wrapper soiled, text clean; very good. A fundraising pamphlet to help acquire land and build schools, hospitals, and missions throughout China, with each project described and the exact amount solicited for each project. This pamphlet appears to be an earlier state than the Columbia University copy, which is also noted as a second edition and includes a couple extra line items in Shanghai and the addition of a project in Wuhu. At the bottom of the last page in our copy: "2 ed. 3-12." OCLC lists a copies at Harvard, Yale, and Stanford, Harvard's dated 1913 and mistakenly refered to as the first edition.
