Dust jacket chipped, rubbed, and brittle with significant tearing to darkly sunned spine. Toned mostly at edges and dust soiled. Verso toned at edges and spine. Boards lightly bumped at edges and spine ends, dust soiled and shelf worn. Binding cocked but firm. Endsheets toned with offsetting from dust jacket. Pages relatively clean with minor finger markings to few pages. A Very Good or better copy in a Good dust jacket.
Signed by both Joseph Fields and Jerome Chodorov on half title: "For Bob -/ Joe and Jerome/ May 31, 42-". Staged in 1940, it was also adapted into two movies, one in 1942 and another in 1955, the latter starring Jack Lemmon.
