New York: Music Theatre, 1955. Vintage script for the 1955 production of the play, staged at New York City Center from April 20 to May 1, 1955, and May 31 to June 12, 1955. Bound in at the rear of the script are a five-page props list and an eight-page costuming list for the play.
Based on "The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown" and "Blood Pressure," two short stories by Damon Runyon. Originally staged on Broadway in 1950 at the 46th Street Theatre, the play had several Broadway and London revivals, as well as a 1955 film adaptation starring Marlon Brando, Jean Simmons, Frank Sinatra, and Vivian Blaine.
Lavender titled wrappers. Title page present, undated, with credits for Runyon, composer Frank Loesser, and writers Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. 108 leaves, with last page of text numbered 2-7-43.
