Very minor bruising to the head of the spine. In the dust jacket, with periodic small closed and open tears to the edges. The most pronounced tear is to the foot of the front panel, near the spine, measuring just under 1 inch wide by 1/3 inch deep. Inscribed by the author, in the year of publication, on the tipped-in half title page. Paul Horgan (1903-1995) won the Pulitzer Prize for "Lamy of Santa Fe." He was noted for his histories and historical fiction about the southwestern United States. "Far from Cibola" depicts life in Depression era New Mexico.
