[Phoenix, Arizona], 1917. Fair to good. Worn with minor dust soiling, toning, short tears. Tape repairs throughout.. The baby book of Amie (a.k.a. Amy) Lois Bivin (b.1917) a pictorial history with twenty (20) original photographs, a small 1917 calendar, and scraps of typewritten verse. The album itself was published as a bridal book, complete with a faux certificate of marriage, filled out in ink by Amie's parents: Fred L. Bivin and Thelma B. Walker. The family lived in Phoenix, Arizona, and the photographs span Amie's development from birth to age seven. Points of information included in the book are: baby name; birth date, time, and location of birth; and the names of parents with location of marriage.
Two photos of the parents are included, as well as a family photo on the lower paste down. There is a newspaper clipping on the final leaf reporting on Amie's seventh birthday party, and a typewritten copy of the poem "The Flanders Lilies" by Lucy Hyatt-- grounding the book in the World War One era. Approx. half of the album has been utilized. 12mo (7.75" by 5.5"), 13 unnumbered leaves in original embossed and chromolithographed boards backed in cloth and reinforced with string.
