Lovely 1905 edition (possibly the 1st illustrated edition, with 1905 alone listed as the date of publication) of this lovely Jessie Wilcox Smith-illustrated edition of "A Child's Garden of Verses". Tight and VG+ in its custom 3/4 calf over marbled boards, with new endsheets and pastedowns. Raised bands, gilt-titling and ornament at the compartments. Former owner ink inscription along the front free endpaper, very light foxing to the preliminaries. Twelve full-page color illustrations by Jessie Wilcox Smith complementing Stevenson's text, each still with its original printed tissue-guard.
