Lorraine, France: B.P. Grimaud, 1920. Very Good. Lorraine, France? B.P. Grimaud, ca. 1920. Advertising display (ca. 16x25cm.) comprised of stiff die-cut card stock to which are fitted, like the pieces of a puzzle, seven fanned out playing card samples. Dark soil spot affecting two cards, light wear from handling, else a Very Good, bright and sound example.

Small but striking advertising display presumably issued for the English-speaking market by the French manufacturer and distributor of playing cards B.P. Grimaud. The playing card examples feature splendid art deco-style designs depicting horse racing, stag hunting, mysterious masked women, and ships at sea.
