London: William Miller, 1805. Full leather. Near Fine. A. Raimbach/R. Smirke. The 1805 1st thus, bound in a lovely custom full calf, a duotone panelled calf, unsigned but circa late 19th century. Raised bands, fine gilt-tooling within the compartments. Decorative matching rectangles at each panel. Handsome gilt-dentelles lining the pastedown edges, marbled endsheets and pastedowns. An attractive, Near Fine copy, with intermittent light spotting at the text and along the tissue-guards, and very mild scuffing to the rear panel. The 5 engravings by A.
