Albany, New York: George Spalt & Sons, Inc, 1930. Good. N.d., circa 1930. 4to. 28.5 by 22 cm. Unpaginated, 26 leaves, printing on only rectos. Four of these leaves or pages are solely text -- the first intro, entitled "Installation", and two pages listing its then recent installations. Otherwise, illustrations of some sort -- photographic or drawn -- dominate every page. These include photos of actual installations -- eight photos spread out on four pages -- drawings of designs -- six drawings on three pages -- photos of designs, seven in all, on three pages, and these include seating as well. There are 14 images of marble patterns and wood finishes, these in color, two per page. Finally seven more photos, on two pages, of display cases. The styles range from what we would regard as High Victorian to then cutting edge Art Deco, with sharp angles and pared down ornamentation. The wraps are heavily soiled as if a spritzer had blown up in the proximity of the catalogue, leaving cloud-like formations on the sides. While one could suspect mold, and there might have once been, we are certain there is no mold order or any live mold now. The edges of the wraps also have some roughness. The first and last leaves have some staining, which the other leaves are mostly to entirely free of. There is a gentle warp waviness to the leaves, this last being a minor issue as manifest in this brochure.
