Literary critic and author Alfred Kazin's copy with his marginalia and notes throughout. A very good copy in cloth boards with some foxing to the page edges and in a very good dust jacket with foxing, some edge tears and wear to the rear panel and some other light wear as well. Signed and inscribed by Wright on the title page: "for Alfred Kazin with admiration, Jim Wright Feb 21, 1977. Kazin would go on write about Wright for the New York Times as well as elsewhere. An interesting association copy of a book that is fairly uncommon signed.
