New York: The Craftsman Publishing Company, 1909. Buckram. Very Good. The 1909 1st edition of one of the seminal early texts in the Arts & Crafts movement, authored by the renowned interior designer and furniture manufacturer Gustav Stickley (1858-1942). Solid and VG in its light-brown buckram, with very mild fraying at the spine ends and along the bottom-edges, and a tasteful (institutional?) bookplate at the front pastedown. Quarto, hundreds of illustrations, including dozens of black-and-white photographs of exteriors and drawings of floor plans. As well as illustrations of cabinet work, craftsman fabrics and needlework, metalwork, furniture making, etc.
