Wheeler, Photographer, Grand Junction, Colo." stamped in black on the reverse. Some minor rubbing to the surface of the image. Small bump and crease to the top left corner of the mount (does not affect the image). Close shot of a horse drawn carriage on a dirt road in front of a house and two trees. Three people are seated in the carriage and three people are standing near it, all of them in formal attire.

Originally from Pennsylvania, D. N. Wheeler (1841-1909) was a civil war veteran (Union) and then became a photographer after he headed west and settled in Grand Junction, CO, where he learned the trade from Thomas E. Barnhouse.
