Italian translation of French author Jean-Baptiste-Louis Gresset's most famous work, originally published as "Ver-Vert, histoire d’un perroquet de Nevers."The lengthy poem recounts the extensive travels of Ver-Vert the parrot, this edition adorned with a lovely frontispiece depicting the eponymous bird in conversation with a nun. The final three pages of text provide a translation of La Fontaine's fable "Il Topo Fatto Romito."
