Willy Pogany. 171pp. Small quarto [25.5 cm] Orange cloth over boards, decorated and lettered in gilt on the spine, and with an illustrated paper label and gilt stamped title on the front cover. Top edge gilt. Fore and bottom edges deckled. 12 tipped-in color plates. There are a couple of small faded stains on the spine, and there are a couple of thin soiled marks on the front board. The longer mark measures 2 inches long. Internally, the book is clean and bright. In a dust jacket, which is split in half. Housed in a slipcase, with rubbing to the edges, and a few small scractched areas to the side panel. Charming production of this literary classic that includes twelve tipped-in plates in full color from the renowned illustrator, Will Pogany.
