Some of the recipes are signed, some are not, but all share the same goal of providing housewives with cost-efficient, labor saving, and nutritious meals. Divided into chapters: Soups, Fish, Meats, Bread, Salads, Vegetables, Puddings, Pies, Cakes, Ices and Drinks, Jellies and Marmalades, Pickles and Relishes, and Candies. Includes advertisements throughout from local businesses. Single vol. (9.25" by 5"), pp. 28, in original illus. textured orange paper wrps. The Womans Missionary Society of the Lincoln Avenue United Presbyterian Church appears to have been founded in the 1910s and operated into at least the 1930s.
