Based on the 1970 novel "Sir, You Bastard," by G.F. Newman. A policeman in San Francisco is sent to New Mexico to help stop a local crime syndicate. There, he discovers widespread corruption in the police department, and long-standing ties to the criminal underworld.

Shot on location in Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
