[1]). Includes fifteen pages of sandwich recipes and a page of "suggestions for making sandwiches" at the rear. Examples of recipes include Oyster Sandwiches, Peanut Butter, Minced Ham, and "A Boy's Dream", which is described as being "relished by all sweet-toothed mortals" and comprised of jam and fruit. Marketed to women, the book includes an advertisement for the publisher's "free catalogue of Articles pleasing to stylish and intelligent girls and young women everywhere" (lower wrapper recto).
