Offers an overview of job training and education, different jobs available (ranging from aviation and engineering to factory work and civil service), and opportunities for women, older workers and "the handicapped". Includes brief descriptions of dozens of jobs, many quite obscure, but no less important for the war effort (e.g. Acetylene Burner Operator, Trimming-Press Operator, Wood Bender). Most are production or factory-based roles. Concludes with a lengthy directory of state employment offices. Includes a list on the lower wrapper titled "Some Federal Government Defense Jobs Which Are Held by Women". Some of the more interesting roles on this list include Cartographic engineer, Cryptologist, Explosives operator (!), Librarian, Matron, Supervisor, and Toxicologist. Single vol. (7.25" by 5"), pp. 23, [9], in original printed self wrps with image of men and women in work wear marching forward.
