An invitation to a jovial masked ball hosted on February 20th 1882 by the Swabian Singers' Association of New York. The association was founded by German-Americans in the city who wanted to preserve and celebrate their native arts and culture of Swabia, a region in Southwestern Germany. The image on the front depicts three drunken jesters and an impish fairy, heralding the upcoming revelries. Includes evidence on left-hand edge of a ticket stub that was used to enter the event, here lacking. Verso blank. Event information printed in bright pink on front with "Complimentary" in black below. Coated with a varnish. Measures approx. 4.25" by 6
