Fine in glazed pictorial boards and near fine jacket with a tiny bit of edgewear and the pale yellow background of the spine panel sunned to white, and printed wraparound band with a modestly sunned spine and some wear and a tiny tear on the rear panel. The first edition was a 1953 Caldecott Honor book.
