Typewritten pitch letter with accompanying printed brochure promoting the International League for the Rights of Man. The ILRM was founded in 1942 as a human rights organization comprised of volunteers recognized as consultants by the United Nations. The organization's name was changed in 1976 to International League for Human Rights. Included here is a 1953 typewritten pitch letter, signed by a volunteer member, and a printed brochure explaining the group's origin, mission, finances, officers and committee assignments. Also includes a list of affiliates, such as the American Civil Liberties Union, and similar organizations abroad. Note the date, and the letter's focus on current events: the Korean War and the Cold War. Folding brochure printed on yellow paper and measuring approx. 8.5" by 3.75" folded.
