Slight lean to boards but binding is sound. Mild spotting to interior, else unmarked and legible throughout; a Very Good copy. Originally published in 1846, Typee was Melville's most popular work in his lifetime and is considered a classic of adventure literature. This edition includes the sequel, "The Story of Toby," explaining what happened to Melville's fellow castaway, Richard Tobias Greene.
