By
Washington, D.C., 1847. Very good. Minor toning, one or two spots, letter folds, adhesives to verso.. A letter from "C. Johnson" to "E. Anthony Esq. of New York", asking, "Dear Sir, Will you have your engraving of the Senate Chamber carefully packed up + leave it with Mr. Morris, to be forwarded by the mail agents, who will take it for me out of the mails". We posit that E. Anthony is Edward Anthony (1819-1888), an American photographer and distributor of "views", engravings, etc. Single leaf (9.75" by 8"), verso blank.
