Sex Reverence Purity

By Thos. R. Haller, S.J.
Omaha, Nebraska, 1965. Very good. Sunning to wrps.. Sex education, Jesuit priest style: a 1960's booklet of advice for parents in how to guide their children through the thorny subject of sex, written by a Jesuit who worked as teacher at Creighton Preparatory School in Omaha, Nebraska. Interesting to see how the booklet offers seemingly progressive points of view (such as the belief that sex education should be taught to young people without shame), in concert with views that have since been dismissed by modern audiences (e.g. on page 26, the author reinforces the myth that all men have a higher sex drive than women, who are usually "reluctant"). Gender roles are strictly adhered to in this guide, and chastity before marriage is of course promoted by the author. Single vol. (5.5" by 4"), pp. 32, illus., in original printed wrps.
