1880s Book of Lithographed Promissory Notes with Kangaroo Motif

[Plymouth, Massachusetts?], 1881. Good. Several leaves have been sometime excised/used. Light dust soiling, wear to binding, hinges cracked.. A pocket-sized book of lithographed promissory notes from the early 1880s, including two that have been finished in pencil or ink and not excised. Each leaf has a small section to the left with blank spaces for the user to record the following information: amount of money, drawer, date, time, date due, and note number. The note itself on the right has spaces for the date, amount, when it is promised, number, and who the amount is promised to. Also features a small image of a kangaroo on the left. The two notes are made out to a "John James McLellan" of "Plimouth" from "John Tobin" and "Fred Th[?]". Dated 1881 Single oblong vol. (2.75" by 8.5"), approx. 30 unnumbered leaves, printed on rectos only, several leaves missing with a couple stubs, all in original marbled paper boards backed in brown pebbled cloth.
