New York, New York: John F. Baldwin, 1860. Good. Letter folds, toning.. A handwritten receipt on billhead for a customer from John F. Baldwin, printer of "Job printing, of every variety, by steam, cheap for cash". Baldwin was based on Pearl Street in Manhattan. Made out to [?] Commandery No. 18, in the amount of $16.38, for notices and envelopes, a ream of note headings, summons forms, and "Circulars-- Costume, enveloped". Interesting to see this last item, which shows how the military recruited via circulars. Includes miscellaneous business notes on the verso by the original owner of the receipt.
