New York, New York: J.C. Riker, 1833. Fair. Binding worn and defective, leaves loose.. The charming friendship album of a woman, Julia Ann Hall of Meriden (1799-1880), recorded in petite album published by J.C. Riker ("The Young Lady's Remembrancer"). The entries fill the album, and range in date from approx. 1836 until 1848. Locations of entries include Meriden, Bridgewater, Seymour, Fairfield, and Cheshire, Connecticut. Includes what appears to be original verse, as well as some sourced from readers and letter writers. Interestingly, there are two entries both titled the same ("Two Questions for the Hearts of Women"), but contain similar, but not identical, text; perhaps evidence of two different sources, editions, or versions of a letter writer? Single vol. (7.75" by 6"), approx. 50 leaves, almost all filled with entries, in original publisher's paper boards backed in roan.
