Bound by the Riverside Press in three-quarter dark blue morocco; ruled in gilt; five raised bands and gilt decoration to spine; top edges gilt; decorative endpapers; ribbons. Note to volume I signed by Longfellow is dated December 15, 1877 and concerns royalty payments. Mild edgewear to boards with some light chipping to spines. Bindings sound. Short tear to title page volume I; light staining along bottom edge of Inferno; interiors else unmarked; a Very Good or better, handsome set and includes six volumes of poetry, Longfellow's translations of Dante's Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso (in three volumes), as well as Hyperion, Kavanagh, Outre-Mer, and Driftwood.
