By Neil Arnott, M.D.
London: Longman, Brown, Green, and Lomgmans, 1855. Pebbled Boards. Very Good. INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR NEIL ARNOTT at the top of the title page. A solid, well-preserved copy to boot of the uncommon 1855 1st edition of this important study of the fire-place and its attendant ventilation. Solid and VG in its pebbled russet boards, with just a touch of very light restoration along the spine ends. Neat stamp of ":Matthew Hall Library" in London at both endpapers, clean former owner signature, to the front free endpaper. Otherwise very clean internally, with no writing or markings to speak of. 23 figures complementing Neil Arnott's text, lengthy catalogue of new titles (or editions) by the publisher printed at the rear. Very impressive in its original incarnation.
