(sepia-tone photographs) A set of 16 images of early aviators and their often wacky-looking flying contraptions (depicted both on the ground and in the air). Designed and printed as mailable postcards, with two per page (in horizontal orientation), bound with two staples at the left-hand edge. Captions are minimal -- usually just a date and brief identifier (or jokey caption, e.g. "Up, Up, and Away?"). .
