A novel of romance set in New York City, about a young married couple with conflicting career ambitions: he, to be a success as a Major League pitcher; she, to be a Broadway star. McCue ("Baseball By the Books") describes the plot thus: "Rookie pitcher thinks he needs his wife in the stands to win. She wants an acting career.
