Universal City: Universal Pictures, 1948. Vintage publicity portrait photograph of Puerto Rican-American actress Olga San Juan, 1948.

Born in Brooklyn, Olga San Juan signed with Paramount in 1943 after being scouted at the Copacabana nightclub in New York. She was primarily cast in film musicals as a hot-spirited Latina, and was nicknamed the "Puerto Rican Pepper Pot." San Juan is perhaps best remembered today for her performance in the 1948 film musical "Are You With It?," costarring Donald O'Connor and Noel Neill.

From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s.

8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus.
