England, 1890. Very good. A little dust soiling.. A c.1890s New Year's greeting card unique for being padded and two-sided. One side reads, "I wish thee, my dear, a Happy New Year!". The other side depicts a cluster of wheat and wildflowers with a poem titled "New Year Thoughts" that begins, "Oh! heed them not who idly say That life is naught but sorrow..." attributed to Enis Herne. Measures approx. 5.5" by 4
