[slight bumping to lower front corner, no other significant wear to book; the jacket has a tiny bit of paper loss at both ends of the front flapfold, slight wear at the spine ends, and a few tiny nicks along the top edge]. Novel about a Korean War vet who "blew up" during combat, and is having a hard time adjusting to civilian life. (PTSD?) He falls in with a crew of tramp steeplejacks (were there such people?), and the work forces him to face "the challenge of his own fear." Basis for the 1956 film of the same name, an Allied Artists release starring John Ericson and Mari Blanchard. .
