Cedar Rapids IA: The Torch Press. Fine in Near Fine dj. (c.1938). First Edition. Hardcover. [a beautiful copy, with just a touch of soiling to the rear panel of the dust jacket; so bright and fresh, in fact, that I suspect it must have come from what's known as "new old stock," books that were never in circulation, but rather discovered years after their initial publication]. "A story of present-day American life, depicted without exaggeration," warning Americans about the dangers of Russian-style Communism, by a one-time Methodist minister who purportedly had "wide experience in both the sociological and the economic fields," and had made a number of trips to Russia to find out how "the other half live" under Soviet rule. This appears to have been his only published book. .
