Opposes McNutt's declared intention to campaign for President on the Democratic ticket, outlining his history of anti-union crackdowns. He had declared martial law against strikers in Sullivan in 1933 and in Terre Haute in 1935, leading Norman Thomas and others to call him a “Hoosier Hitler.
