St. Paul: [St. Paul Institute, 1919. 8vo, pp. [4], 129, [1]; full orange cloth; touch of soiling to boards, text clean and sound, very good. The institute was founded to "promote among all classes of people the knowledge and enlightenment which are essential to right living and good citizenship. It will seek to accomplish this purpose through lectures, instruction classes, publications and other means designed to stimulate interest in the practical arts, hygiene, literature, history, the fine arts, economics, government, and all departments of art and sciences, but without sectarian bias of political partisanship." It persisted under various names, with a break during WWII, until it was finally absorbed into the Minnesota Museum of American Art, whereupon its educational programing was ceased.
