Very light rubbing to the board edges. Text block only just starting to crack at p. 63 (the book remains solid). In the dust jacket, with darkening to the spine, a few shallow chips to the edges (the largest, at the foot of the spine, measures 1/4" by 1/4"), and several short tape repairs to the reverse. From the collection of Berkeley book collector and letterpress printer John Ruyle. Illustrated with wood engravings by R. A. Garnett. A satirical fantasy, in which two lovers have a quarrel, after which the man commits himself to a zoo exhibit.
