Most uses the metaphor of a "beast of property" to represent the destructive nature of greed and wealth accumulation, arguing that individuals driven by avarice are more dangerous than other predators. He suggests that this beast, fueled by the desire for more, makes the world miserable and grows crueler with so-called civilization.
