By Kenzo Tange (Text), Yasuhiro Ishimoto (Photographs)
New Haven, CT: Yale University Press, 1960. Decorative Cloth. Very Good +/Good. The 1960 stated 1st English language edition of this major examination of mid-Century Japanese architecture, published by Yale and designed by the formidable Herbert Bayer. Solid and VG+ in its dcorative dark-blue cloth, with light offsetting at the front panel. And in a serviceble, Good only dustjacket, which shows pronounced wear, chipping and creasing along the edges but which has served to protect the book itself very well. Square quarto, crisp black-and-white gravures throughout by Yasuhiro Ishimoto. Introductory essay by the redoubtable Walter Gropius.
