1945-1965 Twenty Years in the Life of J.A.E.
- [Cleveland, Ohio] , 1965
[Cleveland, Ohio], 1965. Good. Wear to extremities. Spine glue brittle, leading to the leaves becoming loose. Possibly lacking leaves and/or photos.. A family photo album created by a mother as a 20th birthday gift for her son, including eleven (11) photos of the young man growing up from infanthood to adulthood. The photos are captioned lovingly by the mother in red ink. Shows what appears to be a quintessentially idyllic 1950s childhood, complete with beaming family members and boy scout merit badges. Ends in 1965 with him as "a junior in college, old enough to cross the ocean alone, to make his way unassisted in foreign lands". Evidently the parents were quite proud with their son. Includes three felt birthday balloons on the final page and a felt smiley face with buttons and yarn on the front. Single vol. (5.75" by 10.75"), six leaves of black construction paper with mounted original photographs, in original paper wrps. with felt design.
