Light blue faded printed wrappers, center crease, light wear. $45. * The address is a commemoration and tribute to Justice Benjamin Nathan Cardozo, who died in 1938 after serving six years on the Supreme Court. Beer delivered the address at the Cardozo Dedication Ceremonies, which took place in 1939 at the Wall Street Synagogue. Henry Ward Beer was President of the Federal Bar Association of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut for more than two decades, and delivered this address in 1939 at the Cardozo Dedication Ceremonies at the Wall Street Synagogue. Beer was a graduate of Brooklyn Law School where he taught, served as an assistant United States Attorney before his appointment in 1919 as a special assistant attorney general. In the 1920's he served as a special attorney for the Federal Trade Commission. Later, he wrote The Federal Trade Law and Practice, and was recognized as an expert on Federal trade, trust and copyright law.
