Provides insight into how advertisers used Americans' yearning for domestic luxury and "The American Dream" to sell cleaning products. Features on the front an image of a maid in uniform polishing a large wooden table in a room full of antiques. Also advertises Woodtone brand automobile polish, appealing to Americans' desire to "keep up with the Jones's", so to speak: "What gives greater pride than driving down the street with a gleaming new car?
