Two large quarto volumes; in the publisher’s full brown morocco, each with embossed borders and elaborate vignette titles in gilt; there is some wear to the titles; with all edges gilt; dentelles turn-ins; spines with raised bands lettered in gilt in compartments; marbled endpapers.; with illustrations, both in-text wood-cuts and full page steel engravings, throughout both volumes; there is some minor and quite scattered foxing, but overall a beautifully clean set; there is minor wear to the corners.~~William Cullen Bryant’s Picturesque America, complete in two volumes: a travel guide to the outdoor attractions and phenomena, grouped by geographical region of the United States.
