By Ing. Arch. Josef Slegl
Prague: Department of Architects, 1925. Original wraps. Near Fine. Wonderful 1925 Czech architectural journals. Complete in 12 vols., constituting 7 separate books. Each book/journal clean and VG+ to Near Fine in its brightly-colored wrappers. Just a bit of very light wear along several of the spine crowns and a touch of light marking/underlining at 1 or 2 of the volumes, otherwise clean as could be internally. Generouly illustrated throughout, with copious --and 1st rate-- plates and figures complementing the text. Lovely period, architecturally-themed ads at the rear as well. Happily, to highlight the journal's international reach, each volume's title page is in 5 different languages (Czech, French, English, Russian and German), the rest of the text exclusively in Czech. Uniform, tall quartos, a very impressive example of mid '20s Bauhaus and Modernist thinking in Eastern European architecture.
